From The Old Fart
I hope you come to fully understand, how much Jesus loves you. We delight in Him because He loves us with a piercing, pursuing, and perfect love.
Galatians 2:20 (NASB95) 20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Christ loves me and He lives in me, and if I believe that it is rejection slaying and doubt destroying. We all have to fight our feelings to believe it and get ahold of it. Though you truly feel what you feel, what you are feeling is not necessarily the truth. If it doesn’t align with the truth that God loves you and is working for your good, it is not the truth. The truth is God loves you and gave Himself for you. Everything that is happening to you is being filtered through His sovereign and sacrificial love and working for your eternal good.
So today, think about our glorious Savior who loves you so much that He gave himself for you. Fight the fight of faith to reject the lies you tell yourself the lies that the devil and the world tell you and choose to believe what Jesus says about you.
