Electronic Money Joyful Hearts
One of the unexpected changes that has come upon all of us is how money has become so electronic. No longer do we walk around with cash in our pockets or even checks. We now use a card or even our phones to pay for things and it is even true about your contributions to LCC because almost 75% of all that is given to LCC comes in electronically. Many of you, like me, have created an automatic gift that gives based on your pay period. That is a great blessing to LCC; that is awesome. But giving is more than money changing hands it is an act of worship. Giving is a declaration that it all belongs to God and I am giving this as a representation of the whole of the blessings of God in my life. So, I think, even for myself that electronic giving takes away some of the joy and celebration of God’s provision.
2 Corinthians 9:7–8 (NASB95)
7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
So take a moment and thank God for his provision in your life. Thank Him for His great faithfulness in coming through for you again and again. Be thankful, be joyful and be cheerful because God loves a cheerful giver.
