DAY 03.
PRAY HIS AGENDA FIRST
“…YOUR KINGDOM COME. YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN…”
In Matthew 6:10 Jesus prays: “ Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
We know God’s will is perfect, and we acknowledge His wisdom and sovereignty when we pray His agenda first. Sometimes our know-res gets tired. What’s great is that even when we are struggling with what is in front of us we can still ask for His kingdom to come and confess the truth over our circumstances: His will is good and perfect.
He will always give you all you need from day to day if you will make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
LUKE 12:31 TLB
His will for you is perfect. The story of your life may not include all of the chapters you think it should. But trust and acknowledge that He uses all things to work together for your good. That this is His ultimate good for you: that your whole life (even the failures and hardship) brings you deeper into His love and makes you more like Him.
‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ‘
ROMANS 8:28 NIV
Think for a minute about what a kingdom means. It means there is a king on a throne, right? For God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done, He needs to be on the throne of our lives. His will needs to be above ours. Take some time today ion prayer and ask God, “is there any place in my life where You are not king?” Ask God to show you these areas where your will is above His, and the grace to let go and to trust Him to bring you everything you need to live fully for Him.
‘His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. ‘
2 PETER 1:3 NIV
Spend time focusing on what God is focused on in YOU. His priorities include:
• To reign fully in your heart (a heart fully surrendered to Him).
• For you to fully know Jesus.
• Blessing your circle of influence through your relationship with Him.
• Caring for the people around you.
• Care for the people that are your Church
• Freedom from bondage in your life.
• Living out all that He made you for
PRAY THIS:
Father. I acknowledge you as King in my life. I ask that Your kingdom come and Your will be done, first in my heart. You have my very best at heart. There is no King like You. I can trust you fully with my life. Show me the areas of my life where I have not made you King and put my will above Yours. Give me Your strength and grace to hand those places over to You. Bring me to the place where I live only to do Your will, just like Jesus did. Amen.
