Last week in Singapore while speaking to a group of youths, Pope Francis said, “all religions lead to God.” This of course a great heresy because Jesus himself said;
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NASB2020
Jesus said there is one way to God, there is no other. He is the way, He is the door. If there had been another way Jesus would not have come. Jesus is the truth, there is only one truth, there is not your truth and my truth there is only the truth. Jesus is the Life. Only Jesus demonstrated victory over sin and death and is now seated eternally on the throne of heaven. That alone provides believers in Jesus Christ the opportunity to be with God eternally.
To accept every other religion is to reject Jesus. Can you imagine everyone drawing their own map to destination based on a wish or a sketchy revelation? It would be chaos. Jesus said anyone who comes in by another way is a thief and a robber. This is serious business, people who don’t know Jesus are lost for eternity.
